Maple Valley Eye Care is seeking a Front Desk Receptionist to join our team in Maple Valley, WA. As a Front Desk Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in providing an exceptional patient experience by managing front office operations with efficiency, accuracy, and a welcoming demeanor.

WHAT WE OFFER.

• $19.00 – $23.00 per hour based upon experience.

• Schedule: Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Occasional Saturdays 9:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO.

• Welcome patients in a courteous and professional manner.
• Efficiently manage the check-in and check-out process for appointments.
• Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and handle patient inquiries with professionalism and care.
• Schedule appointments and manage the office calendar efficiently.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments.
• Collect co-pays, balances, and handle payments accurately.
• Maintain patient records and update information as needed.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry.
• Coordinate with the optometric and optical teams to ensure smooth patient flow.
• Maintain a clean and welcoming reception area.
• Uphold confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills required.
• Experience working as a receptionist or similar role is preferred.
• Previous experience working at an optical or medical office is a plus.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Knowledge of vision insurance is a plus.
• Proficiency in medical terminology.
• Must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
