Maple Valley Eye Care is seeking a friendly Sales Associate to join our team in Maple Valley, WA. As a Sales Associate, you will guide patients through the eyewear selection process, ensuring they find frames and lenses that meet their vision needs, lifestyle, and personal style.

No optical experience required! If you have sales experience and are passionate about providing great customer service, we’d love to meet you!

WHAT WE OFFER.

• $19.00 – $23.00 per hour based upon experience.

• Schedule: Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Occasional Saturdays 9:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO.

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear that fits their prescription, style preferences, and budget.
• Advise patients on lens options, coatings, and warranties.
• Accurately take measurements, adjust frames, and ensure proper fit for comfort and vision.
• Educate patients on lens technologies, including anti-reflective coatings, blue-light protection, and progressive lenses.
• Verify prescriptions and order eyewear.
• Handle insurance billing and explain patient benefits.
• Maintain knowledge of current frame styles, product lines, and promotions.
• Keep displays, frame boards, and sales area clean and organized.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills required.
• Experience working in sales is preferred.
• Previous experience working at an optical or medical office is a plus.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Knowledge of vision insurance is a plus.
• Proficiency in medical terminology.
• Must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
