Sturos CPA, a full-service professional accounting firm, seeks experienced Tax Accountants to join their team either remotely (from anywhere in the U.S.) or in-office in Calumet, Michigan.

WHAT YOU WILL DO.

• Work with clients in such industries as technology, startups, manufacturing, construction, and service businesses.
• Perform accounting in order to prepare tax returns.
• Record journal entries as necessary.
• Develop as an advisor, supporting and guiding clients from a tax perspective on topics such as personal finance and general business matters.
• Prepare a wide variety of business and individual tax returns including estimates and projections.
• Research tax and accounting issues.
• Assist with business advisory, accounting, and payroll services as able and necessary.

• $70,000 – $80,000 annual starting salary with negotiability for the right candidate.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR. 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred.
• CPA license a bonus.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience with tax accounting and/or auditing.
• Ability to problem-solve and think both creatively and logically.
• Excellent organization, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Word and Excel) required.
• Experience with business accounting software (i.e. QuickBooks, UltraTax, Fixed Assets CS, Thompson Reuters Checkpoint) preferred.
• Ability to maintain and promote a positive attitude and work environment.
• Ability to visit the Calumet, Michigan office as needed.
