The CITGO Lemont Refinery is seeking Operations Technician Trainees to join our team. The Operations Technician Trainee duties involve twelve (12) hour rotational shift work in a refinery process area.  Operations Technicians are responsible for outside product processing equipment and product processing operations at a variety of work units.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring various pressures, levels, flows, and temperatures using specific instrumentation and gauging.
• Operating and performing basic maintenance for all mechanical pumps and related equipment.
• Overall responsibility for worksite safety and operations.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Process Operations Technology certificate; OR Associate’s degree; OR 5 years of industrial experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Willing to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule in a 24-hour operation; including weekends, holidays, and overtime required.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
• Must be able to obtain a Transportation Worker’s Identification Credential (TWIC)
• Ability to climb tall ladders/work in high locations, work outdoors, and wear SCBA equipment
• Qualified candidates must successfully take and pass examinations and complete required assessments, background checks, and medical exams.

Relocation benefits are not available for this position.
