Maple Valley Eye Care is seeking an Optician to join our team in Maple Valley, WA. As an Optician, you will play a crucial role in assisting patients with selecting, fitting, and maintaining their eyewear. You will provide expert guidance on lens options, frame selection, and proper eyewear care while ensuring an excellent customer experience.

WHAT WE OFFER.

• $19.00-$25.00 per hour based upon experience.

• Schedule: Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Occasional Saturdays 9:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

WHAT YOU WILL DO.

• Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses that fit their prescription, lifestyle, and aesthetic preferences.
• Educate patients on lens technology, coatings, and other enhancements to improve their vision and comfort.
• Take accurate measurements for frame fittings, pupillary distance, and segment heights.
• Adjust and repair eyewear to ensure proper fit and function.
• Process and verify eyewear orders.
• Maintain an organized and attractive optical dispensary, ensuring a welcoming environment for patients.
• Handle insurance and billing for optical products, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.
• Stay updated on the latest eyewear trends, lens technologies, and industry standards.
• Provide exceptional customer service, treating each patient with care and professionalism.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills required.
• Experience working in sales is preferred.
• Previous experience as an optician or in optical sales is a plus.
• Knowledge of lens types, coatings, and frame materials.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
