Maple Valley Eye Care is seeking an Optometric Technician to join our team in Maple Valley, WA. As an Optometric Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the optometrist by performing pre-exam testing, operating diagnostic equipment, assisting with patient care, and ensuring accurate clinical documentation.

WHAT WE OFFER.

• Schedule: Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Occasional Saturdays 9:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

WHAT YOU WILL DO.

• Greet patients and prepare them for eye exams in a welcoming and professional manner.
• Accurately record patient medical and ocular history.
• Perform pre-testing procedures including autorefraction, tonometry, visual acuity testing, visual field screening, retinal imaging, OCT, and other diagnostics as needed.
• Assist the optometrist during exams as needed.
• Educate patients on contact lens care, insertion and removal techniques, and follow-up procedures.
• Maintain clean and organized exam lanes and diagnostic equipment.
• Verify and enter insurance information and assist with billing codes when appropriate.
• Order, receive, and track optical products such as contact lenses and glasses.
• Ensure all patient records are complete and accurately documented in the EHR system.
• Support other team members and help maintain smooth clinic flow.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience in an optometric, ophthalmologic, or medical office preferred.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a team environment.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
