St. Francis de Sales Catholic School is seeking a Middle School Math, Science, and History Teacher to join their team in Manistique, MI. We provide a Catholic Liberal Arts Curriculum that fosters the opportunity for our students to discover a love of learning, embrace their spiritual life, and form a dedication to community service.

- Annual salary of $29,000 – $35,000 commensurate with education and experience.

WHAT YOU WILL DO.
- Plan and implement a Catholic Liberal Arts Curriculum that promotes a nurturing student-centered classroom.
- Develop and maintain lesson and unit plans with clear outcomes.
- Encourage students to think independently and express original ideas.
- Regularly check for understanding and provides ongoing feedback to students on their learning.
- Document student learning and provide clear grading criteria to students.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, administration and parents.
- Encourage creativity and problem-solving skills in an interactive learning environment.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.
- Bachelor of Arts degree in education and or math/science related field and current teaching credential required.
- Practicing Catholic preferred.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- A willingness to embrace the values of Catholic education and support the Mission and Vision of our school.
- Experience teaching middle school students preferred.
- Solid knowledge of subject matter and how students learn.
- Collaborative, flexible, self-motivated, and interested in growing professionally.
