This role is available for afternoon routes, with the option to include mornings if preferred.

WHAT WE OFFER.

• $20.00 – $23.00 per hour based on experience.
• Paid sick days (4) and paid personal days (3).
• Paid time off (5 days) for inclement weather school cancellations.
• Retirement plan provided by the Michigan Public School Employees Plan.
• Reimbursement for the cost of school for CDL drivers who paid for their own CDL schooling.
• Afternoon shift, Monday–Friday (3:00–4:15pm), with guaranteed 2 hours of pay each day.
• Optional morning shift (6:45–8:00am) also available with guaranteed 2 hours of pay each day.
• School year position; summers off, spring break off, and holidays off.

WHAT YOU WILL DO.

• Safely transport students to and from school in a variety of weather and traffic conditions.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain a clean and well-kept bus.
• Create a welcoming and safe environment for all students.
• Work as part of a supportive team of drivers, aides, and school staff.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.

• 18 years of age or older and a high school diploma or equivalent required.
• A valid CDL (A or B) with Passenger and School Bus endorsements (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to pass a school bus driver physical and drug test.
• A clean driving record and a patient, friendly attitude with children.
• Ability to complete a criminal history background check and fingerprinting.
• Willingness to obtain State of Michigan Bus Driver Certification (training provided).
