Bandon Vision Center is seeking a friendly, patient-focused Optician to join our team in Bandon, Oregon. As an Optician, you will guide patients through the eyewear selection process, helping them choose frames and lenses that meet their vision needs, lifestyle, and personal style.

Optical experience is helpful but not required. If you have strong customer service or sales experience and enjoy helping people, we’re happy to train the right candidate.

SCHEDULE

• Monday – Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Full-time position

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses that meet their prescription, lifestyle, and budget.
• Educate patients on lens options, coatings, and warranties.
• Take accurate measurements and ensure proper frame fit and comfort.
• Adjust, repair, and dispense eyewear.
• Verify prescriptions and place eyewear orders.
• Explain vision insurance benefits and assist with billing as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of current frame styles, lens technology, and promotions.
• Keep displays, frame boards, and optical areas clean and organized.
• Support the team with daily operational needs.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Sales or retail experience preferred.
• Previous optical or medical office experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of vision insurance is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Dependable and professional.
