The Super 8 by Wyndham seeks full-time and part-time Front Desk Associates to join their hotel team in Houghton, Michigan.

Our Front Desk Associates play a huge role in creating great guest experiences, especially during check-in and check-out. You’re often the first smile our guests see—and the one they remember.

WHAT YOU WILL DO.

• Welcome guests and help them feel right at home.
• Share information about hotel amenities and local favorites (restaurants, attractions, directions, and more).
• Sell rooms to walk-in guests.
• Enter, update, and process reservations and charges using our computer system.
• Respond to guest questions, concerns, and requests in a friendly, timely way.
• Inform housekeeping of room statuses and availability.
• Keep the front desk area clean and organized.
• Balance the cash drawer.
• Work as part of a supportive, team-oriented environment.

WHAT WE OFFER. Starting wage of $15.50 – $16.50 per hour based on your experience.

SCHEDULE & SHIFTS. We offer full-time and part-time opportunities with shifts available:

• 6:45am – 3:00pm
• 2:45pm – 11:00pm
• 10:45pm – 7:00am

We’re a 24/7/365 operation, so flexibility is important. Weekend availability is required—while you won’t be expected to work every weekend, there may be times during busy periods when you are needed.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Previous hotel or motel front desk experience is a plus, but not required.
• A genuine commitment to providing excellent customer service.
• Comfortable using computers—you’ll work with a reservation system and the internet daily.
• Flexibility with days, nights, weekends, and holidays (typical in hospitality).
• A problem-solver who works safely and stays calm under pressure.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds, bend and crouch, walk stairs while carrying items, shovel walkways, stand for extended periods, and work with cleaning products as needed.
