Vollwerth & Co. seeks strong and motivated Equipment Operators to join our Production team in Hancock, Michigan. In this role, you will play a vital part in producing our time-honored sausage recipes in a manufacturing environment. On average, our team produces over 6,000 pounds of sausage per day.

Successful candidates must be dependable, physically capable, and eager to learn. Previous experience is preferred but not required – training is provided for motivated individuals who are ready to work and grow with our team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate equipment to support daily sausage production.
• Follow manufacturing procedures and quality control guidelines to ensure product consistency and safety.
• Adhere to sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and safe production environment.
• Handle materials and tools for assembly line production tasks.
• Perform basic match calculations for accurate measuring and batching.
• Follow directions from supervisors and work collaboratively with team members.
• Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned to support production needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to work Monday through Friday.
• Ability to work every other Saturday during the summer months.
• Ability to stand for extended periods (8-10 hours).
• Physically capable of working in a fast-paced production environment.
• Previous experience in manufacturing or meat processing preferred but not required.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong work ethic and collaborative team mindset.

SCHEDULE: Full-time. In-person position based in Hancock, Michigan.
