NYCOA is seeking an organized and detail-oriented HR Coordinator to support day-to-day human resources operations at our Manchester, New Hampshire manufacturing facility. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining efficient HR processes, supporting onboarding, and serving as a helpful, accessible point of contact for our employees.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Employee Support & Inquiries: Serve as a primary point of contact for daily employee questions regarding basic company policies, benefits, attendance, and HR procedures.
  • Recruitment & Onboarding Coordination: Assist with job postings, schedule candidate interviews, coordinate pre-employment screenings (background checks and physicals), and facilitate smooth orientation and onboarding for new hires.
  • HR Administration & Compliance: Maintain accurate employee files, update digital HR records, ensure compliance with federal and state labor laws, and assist with required workplace notifications.
  • Payroll & Benefits Assistance: Coordinate with payroll to submit accurate hours, track paid time off and leave requests, and assist employees with benefits enrollment questions.
  • Performance & Training Support: Help track annual performance review timelines, assist managers with paperwork, and coordinate logistical needs for employee training programs.
  • HR Projects: Support general administrative tasks, employee recognition programs, and workplace events to foster a positive company culture.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Experience: 1–3 years of experience in HR support.  Experience in a manufacturing plant environment is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with HRIS systems (Paychex required; ADP is a plus) and standard Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Language: Bilingual in English and Spanish is a strong plus.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills, with a proven ability to handle confidential information with complete discretion.

LOCATION:

Onsite at our manufacturing plant in Manchester, New Hampshire. Office hours 8-4:30 required.
