NYCOA is seeking an experienced Corporate Controller to lead accounting and financial operations at our Manchester, New Hampshire facility. This is a senior leadership role for a hands-on financial professional with deep manufacturing experience who can oversee day-to-day accounting while also providing strategic financial insight to executive leadership.
The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in manufacturing finance, cost accounting, US GAAP, budgeting, cash management, financial analysis, and internal controls. You will work closely with executive and operational leadership, guide the accounting team, and play a key role in upcoming ERP system improvements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Financial Leadership & Reporting: Oversee all accounting functions, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, payroll, cost accounting, inventory management, and treasury.
- Financial Close & Compliance: Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes and ensure financial reporting is accurate, timely, and compliant with US GAAP.
- Financial Analysis & Executive Reporting: Prepare financial statements, cash forecasts, borrowing-base reports, budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses for executive leadership.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process while partnering with department leaders to develop accurate financial plans.
- Cost Accounting & Manufacturing Analysis: Maintain and improve job costing, standard costing, inventory controls, and manufacturing variance reporting across labor, material, and overhead.
- Operational Partnership: Work closely with plant and production leadership to identify cost drivers, improve processes, evaluate performance, and support profitability.
- Cash & Treasury Management: Manage cash flow, banking relationships, credit facilities, lender reporting, and other treasury activities.
- Audit, Tax & Regulatory Compliance: Coordinate annual audits, tax preparation, regulatory filings, and other local, state, and federal reporting requirements.
- Internal Controls: Develop, maintain, and strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and maintain audit readiness.
- ERP & Systems Leadership: Lead the transition from legacy accounting systems to a modern ERP platform, including evaluation, implementation, process development, and adoption.
- Team Leadership: Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to the accounting and finance team while promoting accountability, accuracy, and collaboration.
- Strategic Projects: Support executive leadership with special financial analyses, process improvements, and other strategic initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience: 15+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including significant leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Manufacturing Accounting: Strong background in job costing, standard costing, inventory accounting, manufacturing variance analysis, and operational financial reporting.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required. CPA or MBA strongly preferred.
- Financial Expertise: Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, internal controls, and financial analysis.
- ERP Experience: Demonstrated experience evaluating, implementing, upgrading, or leading major ERP/accounting system initiatives.
- Systems & Technology: Advanced proficiency with accounting and financial systems. Experience with Paychex Payroll is a plus.
- Audit Experience: Previous public or private audit experience required.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead accounting teams, partner with executive leadership, and take ownership of company-wide financial operations.
- Approach: Hands-on, analytical, organized, and proactive, with strong judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to turn financial information into actionable business insight.
LOCATION:
This is a full-time, 100% onsite position in Manchester, New Hampshire.
