VanAire, a military friendly employer, seeks a full-time Accountant to join their team in Gladstone, Michigan.

WHAT WE OFFER.

WHAT YOU WILL DO.

• Maintain accounts payable integrity: Track vendor accounts, reconcile ledgers, and ensure accurate reporting.
• Collaborate with Purchasing Department: Work together to resolve discrepancies and maintain positive relationships with our vendors.
• Sales & Use Tax reporting: Keep our monthly tax reporting accurate and timely.
• Support Accounts Receivable: Help verify accounts receivable and cash receipts as part of our financial control tasks.
• Backup other accounting tasks: Be ready to assist with additional accounting needs when required.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.

• Someone who’s both knowledgeable and personable.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, especially double-entry accounting.
• Proven experience managing accounts payable.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Great communication and interpersonal skills for working with vendors and team members
• An Accounting, Business, or Finance degree (or working toward one) is a plus.
