The Marshfield Clinic Health System-Dickinson (DCHS) seeks a part-time Regulatory Accreditation & Policy Specialist to join their Risk Management Team in Iron Mountain, Michigan. This position offers the option of a hybrid remote work schedule.

The Specialist supports the Risk Management Team with policy and procedure development, accreditation standards, tracking, and assessing regulatory impact to the healthcare system.


  • Maintain knowledge of healthcare system accreditation and regulatory policies, processes, procedures, protocols and workflows to ensure regulatory guidelines are met.
  • Participate in audit of systems and processes in place through a variety of data sources (reports, logs, records, electronic health records, direct observation) to ensure accuracy. Prepare reports outlining audit findings; track and monitor corrective action reports, and evaluate audits to see if corrective action has been implemented.
  • Collaborate with management to identify and implement performance improvement activities consistent with strategic plan and long-term objectives and/or linked to accreditation and regulatory standards compliance.
  • Stay current on industry and regulatory trends; communicate/share articles, policy changes, and improvement documents to respond to trends in healthcare.
  • Serve as administrator to maintain policy platform and department tracking for the adoption and maintenance of new policies/procedures; ascertain areas of need or improvement in the program; and work with new departments during onboarding to tailor appropriate policies and procedures to their lines of business.
  • Update training materials for policy management and policy owners, coordinate annual review of policy and procedure program.
  • Serve as point of contact for the integration of corporate system policies.


  • $30.32 – $43.96 starting pay per hour based on experience.

  • Part-time position working weekdays (no weekends) and generally 8am-4pm, or as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required such as Political Science, Journalism/Technical Writing, Public Policy, Communications, Professional Writing, Nursing, Education, Business or similar discipline.
  • Experience with multiple health system service lines such as quality improvement, quality assurance, quality control procedures and regulatory requirements, or substantial knowledge of healthcare system processes required.
  • Strong background in critical thinking, logical reasoning, and legal or technical writing preferred.
  • Solid computer and technology skills allowing you to become proficient with practice management systems, document control systems, and other necessary software.
  • Ability to successfully pass a pre-hire drug screening and background check.
