Anderson, Tackman & Company CPAs, a well-established, full-service accounting firm, seeks an Accounting Specialist to join their team in Marquette, Michigan. Applicants with previous accounts payable, deposits, and payroll processing experience preferred, however, we welcome all levels of experience and will train the right individual who demonstrates a desire to learn and grow with our team.

WHAT YOU WILL DO.

  • Work with clients in preparing and processing payroll from start to finish including checks, reports, federal and state tax calculations, and submissions.
  • Assist with processing accounts payable.
  • Assist with revenue and receipts processing.
  • Assist in preparing reports for management and clients.
  • Develop ideas to assist clients with operational and control opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively with the entire team on various projects and deadlines.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.

  • Your knowledge and experience matter most. A degree in Accounting, Business, or an industry related field is a bonus.
  • Previous experience running accounts payable, accounts receivable and/or payroll from start to finish using software is helpful; experience with QuickBooks is preferred.
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office software (Word and Excel) is required.
  • Ability to analyze problems through effective interaction and communication.
  • Ability to work under time constraints to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Ability to maintain and promote a positive attitude in the workplace and provide top-notch service to all clients and employees.
  • Ability to identify business needs and jump in to assist, where needed.
