If so, Copper Country Mental Health Services is hiring a full-time Recipient Rights Advisor in Houghton, Michigan which may be a perfect fit for you.

As a Recipient Rights Advisor, you will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to promoting and protecting the rights of our clients. Under the guidance of the Recipient Rights Officer, you’ll play a key role in facilitating the activities and operations of our Recipient Rights Office and Customer Services Department.


  • Assist in handling satisfaction measurement, grievance, and appeal issues.
  • Serve as a liaison to various committees/programs.
  • Some travel may be required to fulfill job duties effectively.


  • $45,677 – $59,928 annual starting pay based on education and experience.

  • Paid time off.
  • Full-time Monday – Friday position generally working 8am – 5pm.


  • Bachelor’s degree from a relevant field of study (psychology, social work, counseling, human services, etc.) is preferred.
  • 2 years of relevant experience is preferred; however, we also consider a combination of education and experience from which comparable qualifications can be drawn.
  • Excellent writing, organization, and communication skills required.
  • Proficiency in Excel required.
  • Completion of Recipient Rights Basic Skills Course I & II is required if hired for this position.
  • A valid driver’s license is required as this position may have occasional travel in the local area.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background screening.
