
Upper Peninsula Power Company (UPPCO)
UPPCO seeks a reliable individual to join their team in Houghton, Michigan as a Seasonal Clerk. In this position, the successful candidate will work closely with the Operation Clerks to gather and enter time sheets into the UKG payroll system and the SAP work order system.
COMPENSATION. $18.00 per hour.
SCHEDULE. Seasonal position that begins as soon as possible, generally works Monday-Friday from 7:30am-3:30pm, and runs for a period of 90-180 days. Some overtime is possible.
WHAT YOU WILL DO.
- Enter timesheets, payroll data, and work orders using UKG and SAP systems.
- Collect timesheets from supervisors and team leaders.
- Record timesheet data in payroll spreadsheets and reconcile hours with UKG.
- Allocate hours to specific work orders in SAP.
- Research and resolve any discrepancies in time or payroll data.
- Maintain spreadsheets for accurate tracking and reconciliation.
- Provide support to the Operations Clerk with various tasks.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; preference given to those with a degree in Accounting, Business or another directly related field of study.
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) required.
- Accurate and efficient data entry skills.
- A courteous, cooperative, and team-oriented individual able to work independently with minimal supervision, communicate clearly, and remain calm under pressure.
- Ability to prioritize and manage requests and deadlines.
- Position generally involves deskwork and extended periods of sitting.
- Must reside within 30 minutes normal drive time of UPPCO’s Service Center in Houghton, Michigan.
