Shawsheen Coating & Converting Inc. seeks an industrious and self-motivated Custodian & Maintenance Assistant to join our team in Andover, Massachusetts. The Custodian & Maintenance Assistant will be instrumental in ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of the facility, including grounds and fixtures, in addition to contributing to a safe working environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitors building and grounds to ensure a neat and clean presentation and environment.
• Keep working areas in production departments, office areas, breakrooms, restrooms, and outside grounds in a clean and orderly condition.
• Executing written and verbal instructions/procedures to maintain a clean facility.
• Performing minor maintenance tasks and custodial duties, including safely using hazardous cleaning chemicals.
• Operating light maintenance equipment (i.e., floor waxers, mowers, etc.)
• Order custodial supplies and complete paperwork.
• Troubleshooting and identifying possible facility repairs.
• Reporting the need for any major repairs to management.
• Reporting and repairing emergency maintenance problems and/or environmental hazards immediately.
• Replenishing supplies and keeping inventory of supplies.
• Ensure security of building during and after completed jobs and report any security violations to management.
• Accept re-assignment to any other job or task for which you have accepted training and for which you have been compensated.
• Adheres to all company policies and procedures paying special attention to health and/or safety procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• 2-5 years of Industrial Custodial and/or Maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
