Parkway Christian School, a ministry of Bethesda Christian Church, is hiring a mission-driven Head of School to lead their team in Sterling Heights, MI. As Head of School, you will be responsible for maintaining the spiritual and academic climate of the school, ensuring alignment with its mission, vision, and objectives.

The ideal candidate is an experienced administrator with strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. This role requires a deep commitment to biblical education, strategic visioning, and team development to ensure the school thrives in Challenging Minds, Capturing Hearts and Cultivating Gifts.

WHAT WE OFFER.

• Starting salary of $65,000 – $80,000 commensurate with education and experience.

WHAT YOU WILL DO.

• Strategic Leadership for Kingdom Education
  • Develop and implement short- and long-term goals; provide reports and guidance for effective implementation aligned with Kingdom Education principles.
• Staff Development and Support
  • Facilitate professional development for staff in philosophy, methodology, and best practices; provide individualized support as needed.
• Parent and Community Engagement
  • Educate parents on their role in Kingdom Education; increase community awareness of its benefits and values.
• Curriculum Planning and Oversight
  • Direct curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation to align with Kingdom Education and accreditation standards
• Faculty Oversight and Evaluation
  • Assign and evaluate instructional staff; maintain updated job descriptions; ensure alignment with school mission and goals.
• Instructional and Academic Leadership
  • Set academic goals; evaluate teaching strategies and methodologies; collaborate with leadership on instructional effectiveness.
• Data-Driven Decision Making
  • Analyze standardized test data to guide curriculum and instruction; inform the Board of results and trends.
• Research and Policy Monitoring
  • Stay current with educational research and emerging policies, present relevant findings to the Board.
• School Culture and Climate
  • Lead vision meetings; conduct interviews with incoming and outgoing students to support a positive and mission-aligned school culture.
• Financial Oversight
  • Prepare and manage budgets; monitor expenditures; ensure budget adherence.
• Fundraising and Resource Development
  • Research and develop alternative revenue sources; support and oversee fundraising efforts.
• Admissions Leadership
  • Provide leadership and oversight for admissions; uphold policies aligned with the school’s mission and values; review and approve enrollment decisions.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.

• Master’s degree in education or a related field
• 3+ years of teaching experience
• 2+ years of administrative experience preferred.
• Deep biblical foundation and commitment to integrating faith with education.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of curriculum development, instructional theory, and best practices in education.
• Ability to unify and inspire staff.
• Vision for academic and spiritual excellence.
• Ability to handle administrative and financial responsibilities.
