Title: Heavy Craft Mechanic

The CITGO Corpus Christi Refinery is seeking exceptional Heavy Craft employees to join our team. The Heavy Craft employees will provide expertise in the Maintenance field that will support our ongoing Operations Corpus Christi Refinery.

Required experience and skills include:

• Basic craft knowledge of flange size, pipe size, bolt size, and gasket sizes.
• Basic Math, Measuring and understanding of Hydrostatic Testing.
• Ability to read and comprehend piping isometrics and P&ID’s.
• Ability to work and bend metal tubing.
• Ability to fabricate threaded pipe.
• Possess basic rigging skills, forklift operation skills, and manlift operation skills.
• Ability to estimate and procure materials necessary for jobs.

Requirements:

• Education/Experience
  • Graduate of apprentice or vocational technical school with 4 years of experience as a journeymen level Pipefitter/Boilermaker OR
  • Five years of industry experience as a journeyman level maintenance Pipefitter/Boilermaker.
• Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications such as Word, Excell, and Outlook.
• Supervisory and/or planning experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Candidates must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credentials Card).
  • ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: The Maritime Transportation Security Act requires all persons who will need unescorted access to a regulated facility to have a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC), issued in accordance with the rules established by the United States Coast Guard and the Transportation Security Administration. Candidates selected for employment must meet eligibility criteria to obtain a TWIC card.
• Must be available for overtime as required.
• Must have the ability to climb ladders/work in high locations.
• Must successfully complete assessments, background checks, and medical exams.
