Superior Block Company is gearing up for their busy season and is hiring full-time, seasonal Laborers, CDL Drivers, Forklift Operators, and Concrete Block Machine Operators in Houghton, Michigan. All experience levels are welcome to apply.

WHAT WE OFFER.

• $16.50 – $26.00 per hour starting pay based on your experience.
• Retirement plan.

• Seasonal (May-November), full-time position working Monday – Friday and occasional Saturdays. During the off-season and winter months, there is much schedule flexibility available. For someone motivated, full-time year-round work is available.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.

• Class A CDL Driver/Boom Truck Operator. Safely deliver our products to customers and operate a boom truck to unload materials at job sites. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to perform preventive maintenance tasks. A valid Class A CDL and a clean driving record are required.
• Forklift Operator. Load and unload materials using a forklift. Prior experience or certification is a plus, but we’re willing to train the right person.
• Laborer. Help manufacture high-quality concrete blocks by stacking, packaging, and assisting with machine operations. No experience required—just a great attitude and willingness to learn.
• Machine Operator. Operate and maintain machinery used in the block-making process. Ideal for someone with mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• You have the ability to perform physical work in outdoor weather conditions (hot, cold, snowy, windy, rainy, damp, dusty, dirty, etc.), inspecting and loading equipment, lifting objects up to 50 pounds, and cleaning up work areas.
• You have basic mechanical knowledge that lends well to a manufacturing position.
• You have a strong work ethic and are reliable.
• You are organized, energetic, and work well individually and as a team member.
• You work well under time constraints and can ensure deadlines are met.
