Kendricks Bordeau, P.C. is seeking multiple Legal Assistants/Paralegals to join our team in Marquette, MI. In this role, you will work closely with attorneys across a variety of legal practice areas, helping organize case information, prepare professional documents, communicate with clients, and keep important deadlines and daily responsibilities on track.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is organized, dependable, and interested in building a career in the legal field. Previous law-office experience is valued, but it is not required. Candidates with transferable experience in administrative support, customer service, banking, insurance, healthcare, government, or another detail-oriented professional environment are encouraged to apply.

WHAT YOU WILL DO.

  • Support attorneys with daily legal, administrative, and case-related responsibilities.
  • Prepare, format, proofread, and organize legal documents, correspondence, and other professional materials.
  • Maintain accurate electronic and paper files.
  • Track deadlines, appointments, calendars, and follow-up tasks.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, courts, attorneys, and outside organizations.
  • Review documents and information for errors, missing details, or inconsistencies.
  • Assist with organizing case information, records, and supporting materials.
  • Use Microsoft Office, email, document-management systems, and other office software.
  • Handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Manage multiple assignments and changing priorities while maintaining accuracy.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a law office, court, legal assistant, or paralegal role is preferred but not required.
  • Administrative assistant, office support, customer service, or other transferable professional experience is also valued.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to prepare and proofread accurate, professional documents.
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office, email, and electronic files.
  • Ability to manage deadlines, schedules, and multiple priorities.
  • Professional judgment and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Dependable, team-oriented, and committed to providing excellent client service.
  • Experience with legal terminology, court documents, legal research, or case-related materials is a plus.
  • A degree or coursework in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or a related field is helpful but not required.
