G & J Site Solutions, Inc. is hiring an experienced Office Manager/Controller in Hancock, Michigan.

WHAT WE OFFER.

  • $28 – $40 per hour starting wage.

  • Full-time Monday–Friday position generally working 8am – 5pm; Saturday if needed and with overtime pay. Some schedule flexibility is available.

WHAT YOU WILL DO.

  • Financial Management. Oversee budgets, financial reporting, and cost control measures. This includes accounts receivable, accounts payable, invoicing, preparing and reconciling statements, processing weekly payroll from start to finish for a team of 30 employees, submitting appropriate tax filings, and job costing.
  • Office Operations. Streamline administrative processes for efficiency.
  • Record-keeping. Maintain accurate records and documentation for compliance and personnel/human resources.
  • Problem Solving. Tackle challenges with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
  • Team Coordination. Collaborate with various departments for a cohesive work environment.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.

  • 5 years’ proven experience in office management and financial control.
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business helpful, but not a deal breaker. We are most interested in those with financial management experience. Bonus if your experience is in the construction, landscaping or building industry.
  • Experience processing payroll from start to finish is required.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required.
  • Clear understanding of accounting best practices (debits/credits, AR, AP, account reconciliation, cash flow) is required.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Professionalism is a must along with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Analytical mindset with an eye for detail.
  • You are reliable, trustworthy, and work well individually and as a team member.
  • You work well under time constraints and can ensure deadlines are met.
  • Someone able to collaborate effectively with management, staff and clients to ensure clear communication of business goals.
