A+ Pest Management, a locally owned and operated pest extermination service, seeks a seasonal Office Assistant to join their team in Hancock, Michigan.

This position is ideal for someone customer focused. The Office Assistant performs various office tasks and provides support to customers through collaboration with internal operations to ensure a rock-solid and positive customer experience. WHAT WE OFFER.

  • $15 – $18 per hour starting wage based on the experience and energy you bring to the team.
  • Paid holidays.
  • Full-time, seasonal position (April-October) generally working Monday–Friday 8am–5pm; some schedule flexibility is available.

WHAT YOU WILL DO.

  • Serve as receptionist by providing professional phone, email and text support to clients and staff.
  • Assist customers with questions, determine needs, explain technical matters.
  • Administrative and clerical tasks such as data entry, recordkeeping, typing, filing, processing work orders and customer quotes, collecting fees and payments, and provide receipt for payments.
  • Collaborate with all levels of operations to ensure efficient and prioritized workflow.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.

  • Minimum of 1-year experience working in a professional or business office delivering exceptional customer service.
  • A professional manner with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent phone skills with the ability to project a pleasant tone and handle client requests, concerns, or complaints to satisfaction.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required.
  • Familiarity with the Upper Peninsula of Michigan; general idea of areas, cities and towns required.
  • Ability to complete general office tasks (greet customers/staff, schedule appointments, type correspondence with accuracy, proofread, filing, copying, printing, organizing, ensure office is neat, stocked and ready for each day, etc.).
  • Ability to work well individually and as a team member.
  • Ability to prioritize while working in a fast-paced environment.
