Capitol Eye Care is seeking an Optician and Team Lead to join their team in Salem, OR. As Optician and Team Lead, you will ensure that patients receive exceptional guidance in selecting eyecare and managing their vision needs. In addition, you will be a role model and leader for our team while fostering a positive and efficient work environment.

WHAT WE OFFER.

• Starting hourly wage of $19.00-$21.00 per hour based upon education and experience.
• Medical insurance after 60 days.

• Schedule of: Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:30pm (closed from 1:00pm-2:00pm for lunch)

WHAT YOU WILL DO.

• Lead and motivate team members.
• Provide training and mentorship to staff.
• Oversee inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and tracking inventory.
• Implement best practices for optical sales and customer service.
• Resolve patient concerns promptly and professionally.
• Work with our billing organization to troubleshoot billing concerns.
• Assist patients in selecting eyewear that suits their prescription, lifestyle, and style preferences.
• Submit exams and material orders.
• Assist with frame board management.
• Educate patients on lens options, coatings, and features.
• Perform frame adjustments and repairs.
• Ensure patients have a positive experience by providing exceptional customer service.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• 1+ years of experience working as an Optician preferred
• 3+ years of experience in a leadership role preferred.
• 2+ years of experience working in an optometry or medical office preferred.
• Licensed Optician is a plus.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team effectively.
• Knowledge of optical products, including lens, frames, and coatings.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to multitask and prioritize while remaining organized.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Passionate about helping others.
