LaCroix Eye Care is seeking a friendly Optometric Technician to join their team in Mt. Clemens, MI. As an Optometric Technician, you will support the optometrist in delivering high-quality eye care services by performing pre-testing, assisting with exams, and educating patients. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with prior experience in eyecare who enjoys learning and is eager to join a team that truly cares about the patients they serve.

WHAT YOU WILL DO.

• Perform preliminary testing (visual acuity, autorefraction, tonometry, fundus photography, etc.)
• Perform additional specialty testing including Humphrey Visual Fields and Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT).
• Record patient medical histories and update electronic health records.
• Assist with contact lens training and insertion/removal instruction.
• Maintain and clean equipment and exam rooms.
• Manage patient flow and schedule efficiency.
• Support with optical sales, frame adjustments, and lens education (as needed).
• Provide exceptional customer service throughout the patient experience.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.

• High school diploma required.
• 2+ years of experience working in an optometry or medical office preferred.
• Experience working as an optometric technician is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Must be willing to learn.
• Adequate typing skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and customer service skills.
