Puget Sound Eye Care is seeking a full-time Optometrist to join our established private practice serving patients throughout Bellevue and Seattle.

We are looking for a strong general optometrist who is comfortable caring for patients of all ages, with a particular interest in candidates who bring experience or a strong interest in pediatric optometry—especially working with young children ages 2–5—or specialty contact lens care.

This position will work across both of our locations, with approximately three days per week in Bellevue and additional time in Seattle. The schedule will also include at least alternating Saturdays.

For more than 45 years, Puget Sound Eye Care has provided comprehensive and specialty eye care to families throughout the area. Our established patient base includes a significant pediatric population as well as patients requiring myopia management, scleral lenses, ortho-k, and other specialty contact lens services.

You’ll join an experienced clinical and administrative team with strong patient volume, established referral relationships, modern equipment, and the support needed to focus on delivering excellent patient care.

What We Offer

• Expected annual cash compensation: $175,000–$225,000, including guaranteed base salary and performance-based incentive compensation. Compensation within the stated range depends on experience, schedule, clinical productivity and specialty expertise.

What You Will Do

• Provide comprehensive eye examinations and general optometric care for patients of all ages.
• Diagnose, manage, and treat a broad range of visual and ocular conditions.
• Provide pediatric eye care, including examinations for young children and management of conditions such as amblyopia, strabismus, and developmental vision concerns.
• Participate in myopia management and other specialty services.
• Provide contact lens evaluations, fittings, and ongoing care, with opportunities to work with specialty contact lenses.
• Develop individualized treatment and care plans based on each patient’s needs.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment options, eye health, and recommended follow-up care.
• Collaborate with pediatricians, optometrists, ophthalmologists, and other healthcare professionals when appropriate.
• Work closely with our technicians, optical team, front desk, billing team, and other providers to deliver an excellent patient experience.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Work between our Bellevue and Seattle offices based on scheduling and patient needs.

What We Are Looking For

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry program.
• Current Washington State optometry license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• Ability to provide high-quality general optometric care to patients of all ages.
• Pediatric optometry experience or interest strongly preferred, particularly experience working with children approximately 2–5 years old.
• Specialty contact lens experience or interest strongly preferred, including areas such as scleral, ortho-k, or other specialty lens fitting.
• Strong clinical judgment and patient communication skills.
• Compassionate, professional, and comfortable working with both children and adults.
• Comfortable working in a busy, established practice with consistent patient volume.
• Collaborative and able to work effectively with doctors, technicians, optical staff, and administrative team members.
• Interested in building long-term relationships with patients and growing with an established private practice.

Schedule

• Full-time position, approximately 40 hours per week.
• Position will alternate between our Bellevue and Seattle locations.
• Schedule is expected to include approximately three days per week in Bellevue.
• Saturday availability required, including at least alternating Saturdays.
• Established patient volume and consistent scheduling.
