Eberle Eyecare is looking for a Part-Time Medical Billing Specialist to join our team in Anchorage, Alaska. As a Medical Billing Specialist, will be responsible for managing all aspects of the billing process, ensuring accuracy, and handling insurance claims.

WHAT WE OFFER.

• Starting wage of $21.00-$24.00 based upon education and experience. A review will be completed after 30 days for a possible increase based upon performance.
• 20-25 hours per week – flexible schedule to accommodate work-life balance. Preferable hours would be mornings and early afternoon, prior to 2:00pm.

WHAT YOU WILL DO.

• Prepare and submit accurate insurance claims for vision care services.
• Bill any outstanding balances to patients.
• Monitor and follow up on unpaid claims, ensuring timely resolution.
• Review and verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility.
• Post payments, adjustments, and write-offs accurately to patient accounts.
• Communicate with insurance companies and patients regarding billing inquiries.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.

• Experience as a Medical Biller, preferably in a vision or healthcare setting preferred.
• Knowledge of medical billing and coding procedures.
• Familiarity with insurance claim processes and denial management.
• Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
