Maple Valley Eye Care is seeking a Patient Experience Team Member to join our growing practice in Maple Valley, WA. This role supports multiple areas of the clinic and plays a key part in delivering a welcoming, seamless, and high-quality experience for every patient who walks through our doors.

WHAT WE OFFER

• $19.00 – $23.00 per hour, based on experience.

• Schedule: Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
  Occasional Saturdays 9:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Welcome and assist patients in a friendly, professional manner.
• Support front desk operations, including patient check-in and check-out.
• Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and assist with patient inquiries.
• Schedule appointments and help manage the clinic calendar.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments.
• Collect co-pays and balances and process payments accurately.
• Assist patients with frame selection and basic styling guidance, helping them feel confident and comfortable in their choices.
• Work closely with both the clinical and optical teams to ensure smooth patient flow.
• Maintain accurate patient records and update information as needed.
• Assist with general administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming, and organized front-of-house environment.
• Uphold patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• A positive, adaptable team-first mindset.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfort interacting with patients in both administrative and customer-facing roles.
• Prior experience in a medical, optical, retail, or customer service setting is a plus.
• Experience with vision insurance or medical terminology is helpful but not required.
• Willingness to learn and support multiple departments as needed.
