If so, Highland Copper seeks a Community & Corporate Affairs Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate is from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, within driving distance of either Marquette or Wakefield, Michigan.
This role is all about strengthening our company’s ties with the community, local organizations, government officials, and industry partners. The Community & Corporate Affairs Manager will play a key role in shaping our public image, managing relationships, and ensuring we uphold our commitment to sustainability and responsible business practices.
WHAT WE OFFER.
- $90,000 – $130,000 annual starting salary based on your experience.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING.
- Public Relations. You’ll craft compelling stories, engage with the media, and ensure our company is seen as a responsible and innovative industry leader.
- Stakeholder Engagement. You’ll build and maintain strong relationships with key partners, including investors, community groups, and industry organizations.
- Community Relations. You’ll engage with local communities, address concerns, and create meaningful programs that support local development.
- Government Affairs. You’ll stay on top of industry regulations, work with policymakers, and advocate for responsible mining practices.
- ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance). You’ll help shape and promote our sustainability efforts, ensuring we meet global ESG standards.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.
- At least 5 years in public relations, stakeholder management, ESG, or a related field—ideally in mining, natural resources, or heavy industry.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and strategic thinking. You should be comfortable working with diverse groups, from community leaders to government officials.
- A strong understanding of mining regulations and sustainability is a plus.
- A degree in Public Relations, Communications, Environmental Studies, Political Science, or a related field (Master’s degree is a bonus!).
