Evergreen Engineering, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join their team remotely in the vicinity of Toledo, OR. As a Project Engineer, you will complete small and medium sized engineering and project management work at existing clients’ plants.

WHAT YOU WILL DO.

• Lead and manage small to medium sized industrial engineering projects, including preliminary engineering, detail engineering, and construction support, by effectively utilizing resources to deliver the engineering deliverables.
• Execute detail engineering tasks in areas of competency.
• Coordinate and supervise projects from concept to completion.
  • Develop client-specific project funding documents.
  • Facilitate contractor job walks.
  • Facilitate the pre-planning and contractor oversight to ensure successful projects.
  • Oversee contractors daily work tasks and follow client’s safety policies.
  • Coordinate startup and commissioning procedures.

• Meet with clients for project scoping, information gathering, and project deliverable reviews.
• Prepare engineering proposals including project schedules, cost estimates, and scope of work documents
• Develop equipment vendor specifications utilized for bidding and vendor selection
  • Prepare equipment performance comparisons
• Provide technical supervision and direction of project team members (including engineers, designers, drafters, and administrative personnel)
• Review design documents prepared by other engineers, designers, and drafters to ensure they meet the project scope, client’s needs, and Evergreen’s quality standards
• Conduct field verification/observation and on-site construction management as needed
• Develop installation contractor bid packages, including client-specified scope and project documents to support the project funding process

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or a relevant technical degree required.
• Must live within 2 hours drive time from Toledo, OR and be willing to stay locally at a hotel during the week as needed.
• 5+ years of relevant engineering and/or project management experience in industrial settings required.
• Knowledge of industrial processes and environments required.
