Laser North, Inc., a high-volume laser cutting and fabrication job-shop, seeks a Purchasing and Shipping Coordinator to join their team in Baraga, Michigan. This position is responsible for providing service that ensures rock-solid and positive customer experiences, company growth, and business stability.

WHAT YOU WILL DO. 

• Purchase materials, components, and supplies to ensure necessary products are available for production and business needs.
• Prepare delivery notes for customers and their shipments.
• Set-up bills of lading (BOL) for customers.
• Coordinate secondary operations with vendors as necessary.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR. 

• Self-motivation, excellent work ethic, and ability to remain organized while meeting deadlines is required.
• Ability to read and understand prints and instructions.
• Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
• 2 years’ experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
• Possess strong attention to detail and the ability to solve problems.
• Ability to balance a sense of urgency while maintaining a high level of safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Ability to follow business rules and guidelines; safe work practices and lifting techniques.
