Shawsheen Coating & Converting Inc. seeks a bright, detail-oriented, and highly organized Lab Technician to join their Quality Control team in Andover, MA. The QC Lab Technician will perform light duty lab testing at the quality supervisor and/or quality director’s direction. The successful candidate is comfortable working independently and has a solid understanding of the concept of quality control.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Retrieve samples from the factory.
• Lab testing.
• Perform & document all specified raw material, in-process, and finished goods tests.
• Report nonconforming test results to Supervisor and/or Director.
• Perform data entry of test results.
• Perform miscellaneous tasks to maintain cleanliness and organization of lab.
• Perform calibration or calibration verification of testing equipment.
• Assist Quality Supervisor in test evaluation of complaints.
• Complete projects as assigned by Supervisor and/or Director.
• Follow all safety and environmental rules, requirements, and procedures.

SCHEDULE This is a full-time position scheduled Monday through Friday, 6:00 am – 2:30 pm.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year of prior Inspection experience preferred.
• Comfortable and able to work safely in a laboratory environment.
• Familiarity with analytical techniques and laboratory procedures.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours on occasion.
• Experience in the tape industry a plus.
