NYCOA has an immediate opening for a bright, proactive Sales Manager to join their team in Manchester, New Hampshire. This role focuses on new business development, sales, and managing NYCOA activities at industry organizations in respective market segments.

The Sales Manager will focus on the development and commercialization of profitable new business in the nylon and nylon copolymer engineered resins market along with some existing accounts of established business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understand products and markets to develop business development strategies and actions. 
  • Execute the sales and account plans to meet sales and account objectives.
  • Provide customer price quotations.
  • Manage contract negotiations and credit limits.
  • Execute sales terms & conditions negotiations around pricing, lead times, delivery, etc.
  • Utilize sales forecasting methodologies & tools.
  • Assist New Business Development to define and commercialize new product lines.
  • Develop and nurture relationships at all key levels.
  • Communicate with the customer and product manager all commercial requests, availability dates, and needs.
  • Collect market information and communicate current and emerging needs for current and new accounts.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science and/or a business-related field required.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in sales and/or business development is required.
  • Experience in plastics and resins or chemical sales is strongly preferred, but not required. 
  • In-depth knowledge of resin and polymer sales processes and supply chains a plus.
  • Experience in application development (material selections, part/mode design, process optimization, structural analysis, regulatory compliance) a plus.
  • Previous experience negotiating pricing, contracts, confidentiality agreements, supply agreements, consignment agreements a plus.
  • Excellent communication, language, and social skills.
  • Intelligent, creative, self-starter with an open mind.
