Innovate Marquette (IMQT) is seeking a Controller to join their team in Marquette, MI. As Controller, you will manage financial policies, assist in grant management, and ensure data accuracy to support sound fiscal management.

WHAT WE OFFER.

  • Annual salary of $60,000 – $70,000 commensurate with education and experience.
  • Flexible Fridays – take Fridays off provided your work for the week is complete.

  • Performance incentives up to 10% in your first year, increasing to 13.5% in your second year.

WHAT YOU WILL DO.

  • Develop, improve, and implement financial policies and procedures.
  • Record and maintain financial transactions and provide financial reports as requested.
  • Assist with grant management, specifically, budgets, budget narratives, and reporting.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity in data management systems.
  • Analyze financial data to support decision-making and improve organizational efficiency.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or a similar field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience working in financial operations or accounting preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in grant management preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience working within a non-profit preferred.
  • Proficient with QuickBooks online, Microsoft 365, Google Suite, and other office software and able to learn and adopt new technologies.
  • Experience in the entrepreneurial, startup, or innovation ecosystem preferred.
  • Must be organized, self-motivated, accountable, and detail orientated.
