TriMedia Environmental & Engineering is seeking a full-time Environmental/Survey Field Technician to join their team in Marquette, MI. As an Environmental/Survey Field Technician, you will be responsible for conducting fieldwork related to environmental assessments, surveys, and data collection.

WHAT YOU WILL DO.

  • Perform field data collection, including soil, water, air, and biological sampling.
  • Conduct topographic, boundary, and construction surveys using GPS, total stations, and other survey equipment.
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain field equipment such as GIS mapping devices, drones, environmental monitoring instruments, and survey tools.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping of field activities and findings.
  • Collaborate with project teams to interpret data and prepare reports.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations during field operations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and team members regarding field findings and potential issues.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Surveying, or a related field required.
  • 2+ years of experience in environmental fieldwork, land surveying, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Proficiency with GPS, GIS software, and other survey-related technology.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations, permitting, and standards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in outdoor field conditions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to travel 35% of the time.
