Code Electrical seeks a dependable Journeyman Electrician to join their team in Marquette, MI. As a Journeyman Electrician, you will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures according to electrical code and safety standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
• Inspect electrical components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using testing devices such as ohmmeters and voltmeters.
• Plan and layout electrical installations for new construction and renovation projects.
• Collaborate with apprentices, contractors, and other trades to ensure projects are completed efficiently and safely.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent.

COMPENSATION Code Electrical puts great value in the Journeyman Electrician position by offering a starting wage of $38.25 per hour as well as a benefits package including medical insurance with prescription coverage, disability insurance, and a pension.

This is a represented position.

SCHEDULE This is a full-time position scheduled 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday with all major holidays off. On-call rotation is required.  Working hours may vary depending on season and could change to (4) 10 hour days or overtime as needed.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Michigan Journeyman Electrician License required (if licensed out of state, must be willing to obtain Michigan license as a condition of employment).
• Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code and local electrical codes.
• OSHA certification preferred.
• Must be willing to become a member of Local Union 906.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Valid Michigan driver’s license.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
