
Allied Petrochemical
Allied Petrochemical is seeking a part-time Project Engineer to join their team in Alvin, TX. As a Project Engineer, you will execute small and large projects that have been previously identified within our chemical plant, such as upgrading existing systems or new equipment installation. This position will ensure that projects are completed on time within scope and budget.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of engineering principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
WHAT WE OFFER.
- Compensation based upon education and experience.
- Eligible to be considered for performance bonuses.
- SCHEDULE: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. 1-3 days per week as needed for projects. Additional time may be necessary based upon project demand.
WHAT YOU WILL DO.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, including scope, goals, timelines, budgets, and resources.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to align objectives.
- Provide engineering and technical guidance throughout all project phases.
- Maintain accurate documentation of designs, reports, and project updates.
- Monitor budgets, track costs, and report financial performance.
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure success.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, quality standards, and industry regulations.
- Communicate project progress, challenges, and scope changes to stakeholders.
- Resolve technical issues and keep projects on schedule.
- Support final testing, commissioning, and project handover while staying current on best practices.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (chemical, mechanical, civil, electrical, or other related) required.
- 5+ years of experience in project engineering or a related field required.
- Proficient in project management software (MS Project, AutoCAD, etc.).
- Familiar with OSHA PSM standards.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and think critically to solve complex problems.
