Pettibone seeks an experienced Inside Sales Representative to join their Heavy Equipment/OEM Parts team in Baraga, Michigan.

This is not retail. This is OEM heavy equipment parts—and you’ll be the person customers count on for the right part, the right fit, and the right follow-through.

WHAT YOU’LL DO. You’ll own the full inside-sales cycle for parts—answering questions, quoting, closing, and making sure orders are accurate and on time.

  • Sales & follow-through. Meet or exceed parts sales targets by building and sending quotes, consistently following up to win orders, and spotting opportunities to grow existing accounts and bring in new customers.
  • Customer support & product guidance. Respond quickly by phone/email, provide accurate part details (pricing, availability, specs), and help customers identify the right parts for their equipment and application.
  • Order processing & coordination. Accurately enter orders, changes, and returns, coordinate with warehouse/shipping for smooth and timely delivery, and manage returns per process while keeping customers informed.
  • Relationship building: Build strong relationships with customers and key contacts, keep account notes and interactions organized and current, and strengthen loyalty through reliable follow-through and great service.
  • Stay sharp on the product: Maintain strong knowledge of OEM parts/applications, stay current on new products and industry trends, and proactively promote parts through phone calls and emails.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR. We’re looking for someone who’s comfortable in a customer-facing, sales-driven environment—and who can stay organized when things move fast.

  • High School diploma (or equivalent) required.
  • Strong customer service and clear communication skills (phone + email).
  • Comfort using computers daily (email, order entry, Outlook, Excel, and Word).
  • 3+ years of parts sales experience, ideally in heavy equipment or a related industry, preferred.
  • Experience with CRM and order processing systems helpful.
