Copper Country Community Mental Health is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse to join their Outpatient and Residential Services team in Houghton, Michigan. In this role, you’ll work alongside psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to provide nursing care and support to individuals receiving community-based mental health services. You’ll split your time between an office setting and supporting residents in our group homes, helping individuals receive the care they need.

WHAT WE OFFER.

• $63,335 – $80,348 annual starting salary based on licensure and experience.

• Full-time, Monday–Friday schedule, generally 8 AM–5 PM, with a shared rotating on-call assignment.

WHAT YOUR DAY LOOKS LIKE.

• Work closely with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Monitor patient health, including obtaining vital signs and administering injections.
• Assess patient needs, respond to concerns, and provide nursing support in outpatient and residential settings.
• Triage incoming phone calls, assess medical concerns, and coordinate appropriate follow-up.
• Maintain accurate, confidential electronic medical records.
• Communicate and coordinate with community healthcare providers to support continuity of care.
• Participate in a shared, rotating on-call schedule.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Michigan required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Previous experience in mental health services is helpful, but not required.
• Comfortable working with individuals receiving mental health services in both outpatient and residential settings.
• Good communication, organizational, and patient care skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel throughout Baraga, Houghton, Keweenaw, and Ontonagon Counties as needed.
• Ability to successfully complete a criminal background screening.
